Advent Angel Tree/ Care-n-Share
Parishioners take an ornament off the Christmas Angel Tree which has the name, age and clothing size of a child in need. They pray for this child and purchase a $25 gift for the name they chose.
We are asking Spirit of Life parishioners to be especially generous by donating non-perishable food and toiletry items that will help stock our Food Pantry. The Outreach Food Ministry, along with volunteers, pack food each week to give to needy families in our community.
Soup Kitchen/Fellowship Luncheon
The Soup Kitchen works to provide a meal, fellowship and encouragement to those in need. We serve a meal every Thursday from mid-September through mid-May. Men, women, and couples of all ages make up our volunteer base.
Holy Communion to the Homebound
This ministry involves bringing the Eucharist to members of the Spirit of Life community who are unable to attend Mass due to age, illness, or other circumstances.
Prayer Blanket Ministry
Volunteers use their time, talent and material to make blankets for people who are hurting in some way.
Funeral & Grief Ministry
Through this ministry, we will help create a meaningful funeral celebration for your loved one by assisting you in planning the liturgy, selection of readings and music, and coordination of the funeral luncheon.
Funeral Luncheon Ministry
This is an important ministry which will eventually affect every family. Our parish provides a meal following the funeral to family and friends. Often these luncheons can be quite large, so many volunteers are needed to donate salads, casseroles and bars, or to set up and serve the meal the day of the funeral. Please consider volunteering to serve on one of the teams, to donate a food item for the lunch, or to do both.
Care Center and Hospital Visitaion Ministry
Through this ministry, Spirit of Life has staff and volunteers that visit members from our parish who are in the hospital or a nursing home facility.
