1) Genesis to Jesus

How has God freely chosen to reveal Himself? What is the Bible, where does it come from, and what is its purpose? How are Catholics supposed to read Sacred Scripture and what story does it tell? This Bible Study will help us learn the basic principles for reading Sacred Scripture and then show us the big picture of Salvation History. Once you join the group, you will have to purchase the workbook and all the videos for $30. Instructions are on the Facebook group. If you want to join the group and money is a serious issue, contact Ben Wanner through Facebook. This Bible Study is intended for parishioners from Spirit of Life, St. Anthony, and St. Martin.

3) Sacred Scripture with the Roman Liturgy

‚Äč"Sacred Scripture with the Roman Liturgy" is for Roman Catholics who want to prayerfully integrate Sacred Scripture into their daily lives. While it is always good to read any part of Sacred Scripture at any time, Holy Mother Church gives us very particular readings every single day in her Sacred Liturgy for the formation of the faithful. Thus, it is most fitting to form one's mind, heart, and imagination according to and along with the mind, heart, and imagination of the Church. This online group is meant to encourage liturgically biblical reading by providing 3 different levels of challenge (see below) from a very basic to an advanced commitment to reading the Bible along with the liturgy. In addition, it will inspire a loose communal accountability, which will inspire faithfulness over time, and it will give a holy digital space to share graces received during one's prayerful reading, which is traditionally called "Lectio Divina." For example, if there is a particular word, verse, image, or really any kind of religious experience that would be uplifting and inspiring for others, feel free to share it with the group. The beauty of this opportunity is that we are all praying with the same readings according to our state in life! In this way, the Glory of God will be made manifest in his Universal Church through the growth, sanctity, and evangelical witness of this group. Feel Free to invite a friend! Spirit of Life Challenge - pray with the readings for Sundays, Solemnities, and Feasts spread out through the week Spirit of Truth Challenge - pray with the daily liturgical cycle, which is usually a semi-continuous reading of the most important sections of Sacred Scripture Spirit of Wisdom Challenge - pray with the daily liturgical cycle with a continuous reading that does not skip through any section of Sacred Scripture
