Father Simethy will be gone on vacation for the month of October (1st-31st). There will be just Father Streifel here during that time during the week. Therefore, we will not be having any 7:00am Daily Masses from October 1st-31st. There will still be the 9:00am Daily Masses as normal. This will only be for the month of October and the 7:00am Mass (Tuesday-Friday)will resume as normal again starting November 1st. Thank You!
The Spirit of Life Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Breakfast from 9:00am–12:30pm on Sunday, September 22nd in the Spirit of Life Activity Center. A free-will donation will be accepted that will support and benefit Coats for Kids. The menu includes French toast and ham, pancakes, ice cream, sausage, eggs/omelets, juice and coffee. Please stop by hungry and support this worthy cause!
We will be having our next Catechetical Talk on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. This will be held September 17th at 6:30pm. The topic is “How to read, understand and pray with the Scriptures.” The talk will be around an hour with a question/answer period to follow. It will be lead by our Director of Religious Education Konnor Peterson. No need to register and all are welcome to attend!
St. Anthony Church in St. Anthony, ND will hold their fall dinner, fair and raffle on Sunday, Oct. 6th. Mass is at 11:00am CT. Dinner will be served in the church basement from 12:00-2:00pm, menu includes fried chicken, roast beef, potato, kuchen and trimmings. Dinner Ticket Prices are: adults and children (11 and older) are $15 and children (10 and younger) are free. Verein Hall Activities will take place from 12:30 to 4:00pm. The activities include bingo, silent auction, big wheel and other games and will end with the drawings of the St. Anthony Parish and Christian Mothers’ Raffles. St. Anthony Church is handicap accessible.
We are in need of volunteers for our family of faith program. Volunteers will work with the students while their parents are in parent meetings. This is a once a month commitment. Contact Konnor in the parish office at [email protected] for more information. All volunteers will need to pass a diocesan background check.
Clergy will be attending the Fall Clergy Conference from Monday, September 2nd-Thursday, September 5th. Please note: There will be no Daily Mass or Confessions during that time. There will still be adoration from 6:00am-9:00pm on Wednesday, September 4th as normal.

It is that time of year again when parents are preparing for their children to go back to school! As part of our outreach program, we will be collecting school supplies for those in our community who cannot afford to purchase supplies. We will be taking donations of backpacks, folders, notebooks, binders, markers, etc. All school related supplies are welcome! Donations can be placed in the box located in the gathering space until Friday, August 16th. Thank you for helping make the school year brighter for those in need!

There will be no XLT on Wednesday, July 3rd due to the 4th of July Holiday. There will still be Confessions held from 7:00-8:00pm that evening (July 3rd)as usual. The next XLT will be held August 7th at 7:00pm.

Father Streifel will have a Mass on Monday, June 24th at 3:00pm at Spirit of Life. This is to honor his ordination anniversary date of becoming a priest. All are welcome! The parish office and outreach will close at 2:30pm that day to attend Mass.

Registration for the 2024-2025 Faith Formation year is now open. We will begin our second year of A Family of Faith. The basic idea behind this program is to teach the Catholic faith to parents, that they might then teach the faith to their own children. This year is Life in Christ, focusing on the moral life and what it means to live the way God wants us to live. It is open to all ages.
On June 23rd we will have donuts and refreshments in the Spirit of Life Activity Center after the 9:00 & 11:00am Masses as a farewell to Fr. Ojedeji. We were richly blessed to have him here and thank him for his guidance to the Spirit of Life Community. We wish him the very best as he transitions to the Catholic Indian Mission in Ft. Yates on July 1st!
Some of the priest’s will be on retreat this week (June 3rd-7th), but Father Simethy will be here. However; due to a conflict, there will be no 9:00am Mass on Wednesday (June 5th). All other Daily Mass Times, XLT/Confessions and Wednesday Adoration will still proceed as scheduled.
